Residents in Lucknow will soon be able to pay their traffic challans with ease at E-Suvidha Kendra in the city. This move will mostly benefit those who are unable to use the already existing online facility for the same and have to visit the RTO. These centres will guide citizens step by step, making it easier for them to pay off their dues with ease.
Paving a way for a smoother customer experience, 74 E-Suvidha Kendra will soon begin accepting payments for clearing traffic challans. Read on to know more about this initiative undertaken by the Department of Urban Development in Lucknow.

Reportedly, around 1,000 people are issued fines for violation of traffic rules in the city on an everyday basis, taking the monthly toll to 30,000. This initiative by the Department of Urban Development in Lucknow aims to assist these defaulters by collecting fines at these centres that are established at multiple places across the city.
At present, people can deposit their electricity bills, get information on land records and avail themselves of a dozen other services at the E-Suvidha Kendra. Notably, Medhaj Techno Concept Private Limited, the organisation that is operating these centres in the city has been carrying out these services in 19 districts of the Central UP region.
Going by the words of the officials, this service can also be started in these districts through an integrated system. In Lucknow, the facility will be operational within the next few weeks. This move focuses on digitisation of services and taking it to the masses, who cannot directly access them. With this facility available closer to home, citizens will be able to save time and clear their dues with ease.
