With westerly winds sweeping across the state, Lucknow is experiencing a steady drop in mercury levels. On Thursday, the city recorded its coldest night of the season, with the minimum temperature dipping to a chilly 6.3°C — 3.1°C below normal. Late-night chilly winds also persisted, accompanied by shallow fog the following morning.

For today, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 24°C, while the minimum will hover around 6°C. Winds with speeds up to 9.3 km/h are likely to prevail throughout the day. According to the IMD, similar weather conditions, including foggy nights, are predicted to persist until Monday.

With temperatures dropping significantly, readers are advised to stay warm and avoid prolonged exposure to the cold, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
