The nasty traffic jams is what one would picture while imagining a busy intersection in Lucknow. However, that’s going to change super soon because some of these crossings are all set to get a revamp.
The beautification move, under the Smart City scheme, will have speific spaces assigned for taking selfies and photos. Plants will embellish the sides of the intersections and more pots installed along the spaces will ensure the green coverage.
10 intersections where the work will be carried out first include, Jankipuram chauraha, Husariya chauraha, Sikanderbagh chauraha, Gudamba chauraha, Mahanagar chauraha, Krishnanagar chauraha, Nishatganj chauraha, and more. More crossings will supposedly be recognised and identified in the process.
Suggestions by citizens are welcome
Reportedly, suggestions of citizens will be taken into account and implemented to augment the natural beauty of the aforementioned intersections of Lucknow. The beautification measures will include arrangement of new and glistening lighting along the crossings and installment of colourful and attractive fountains. Additionally, cleanliness of such areas will also be taken care of.
And, with such measures being executed, Lucknow will soon see aesthetically pleasing chauarahas where you’d want to stop and take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty of the city, and why should you not?
