Our Swapna is an umbrella unit, a non-profit foundation that encapsulates welfare tasks of women empowerment, education, healthcare and livelihood among other social benefit and upliftment programmes. This Lucknow based NGO has been the powerhouse of happiness, kindness and generosity this pandemic and runs on the simple idea of its founder, Achyut Tripathi, who says- “Give a smile to get a smile.”
Initiating the ‘Mission Hands Together’ during the COVID-19 rage, Our Swapna managed to distribute essentials in 11 districts and small towns of Uttar Pradesh with the help of a massive 800 member volunteer team. The NGO, aims at being the ray of sunshine in the grim lives of the poor and deprived and believes in consistent action and efforts. The foundation runs on the principle of desire to uplift others because in the founder’s words,”stressing and complaining changes nothing, what brings a change is an action backed by willingness and guts. “

Our Swapna has launched Mission Hands Together as the title campaign during the rampant COVID spread which includes several welfare programs such as ration distribution, sanitary napkins distribution, safety kits distribution and animal feeding campaign among various other feeding drives for the unprivileged and needy. With an active 800 member team, the foundation has managed to touch the life of 1000 families with 15 different campaigns, Mission Hands Together being one of them.
This campaign has been a huge relief to a wide stratum of people, especially the daily workers who faced the ugliest consequences due the widespread of coronavirus. Financially handicapped due to a complete nationwide lockdown, several people lost the liquidity to buy the basic necessities such as hygiene and safety products. Through ‘Mission Join Hands’, Our Swapna has lent an extra hand of help to these individuals by providing them with essentials along with happiness!
How can you help?
The foundation urges every individual to donate a small sum of ₹10. This small amount is lined up to create a huge ripple effect, roping in more and more people to be a part of the programme. This will help to create a handsome kitty which will be then used for the purpose of several welfare activities.
