Early Sunday, Mumbai and various parts of Maharashtra experienced light rainfall, contributing to a pleasant weather change in the city. Additionally, unseasonal rainfall has resulted in improved air quality within the metropolis.
The week commenced with light rain and overcast skies across many parts of the city. Notably, there was a gentle drizzle reported in areas like Dahisar and Thane from Sunday night to Monday morning. Preceding the rainfall, Mumbai had been grappling with declining air quality due to the formation of a low-pressure zone.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of Mumbai are currently registering a ‘good’ Air Quality Index (AQI), falling within the average range of 60 for the city.
