Roaming around as a hungry vegan, who is also a raging foodie, is tricky – to say the least. Although Mumbai vegan cafes are found in abundance, not everyone can satiate a vegan foodie’s appetite, especially when it comes to flavours. But worry no! We know just the vegan cafe in Mumbai, where every member of the V-tribe can hog happily without much thought!

We present to you Rare Earth in Khar, which is a cafe cum store, serving delish vegan food and offering plant-based products, for you to take home! And the best part you ask? As you enter, you’ll be welcomed by a doggo wagging its tail, as the cafe is pet-friendly too. So, get ready folks, for here come the deets.

Affordable and palatable vegan food

Whether for health or environmental benefits, veganism is an amazing option for those who wish to adhere to dietary regulations. Unfortunately, it isn’t always a viable option due to financial and health restraints. And also due to a lack of good vegan cafes! However, bursting your bubble, Rare Earth is here with meals that are not only tasty but also pocket-friendly.

This all-vegan store and cafe, has a separate fan base especially among its loyal Jain customers. This cafe surprised us with their appetising Farmie Delight Pizza, Plantain Burger, Vegan White Sauce Pasta, Tofu Masala with crunchy Lacha Paratha and Vegan Dahi Puri. These standout dishes were enough to make us come back for more.

In conversation with Knocksense, owner Shami Sethi added, “This place originally started off as a vegan store back in 2016. With time, it expanded into a full-fledged cafe in 2019”. Shami himself follows veganism ardently and religiously believes in dietary constraints.

Overall, Rare Earth’s ambience is lovely as well, with almond white wall, wooden sitting and lots of light following in. Don’t miss out on the delicious sweet treats here, such as Rare Earth’s Baklava, Blueberry Cheesecake and the much-loved Vegan Mango and Jamun Ice Cream!
