Tika Utsav 3.0 to commence in Goa with focus on vaccination of the rural population

After the success registered during the first two Tika Utsavs in Goa, the Chief Minister has encouraged the officials to conduct its third edition. Tika Utsav 3.0 will be launched in the rural parts of the state and will be especially for individuals falling in the 18-44 age group. With the cooperation of the masses, it is expected that this walk-in vaccination will help in immunizing the majority of the population against Covid.

Priority vaccination in Goa for students, Olympic participants & job seekers travelling abroad

Goa is boosting immunisation against COVID among the youth, by opening the doors of almost 83 vaccination centres for the 18-44 age group. As per the latest announcement by the Chief Minister of Goa, a fresh set of relaxation has been issued which is in sync with the guidelines of the Government of India. These relaxations allow the inoculation drive to give priority to individuals (18-44 age group) who are leaving for abroad, to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Goa speeds up vaccination drive as it aims to inoculate all citizens above 18 by July-end

On Friday, the Chief Minister of Goa encouraged eligible beneficiaries to get inoculated at the earliest, as the government is planning to vaccinate all citizens in the age group of 18-44 by 30 July. If Goa is able to achieve 100% vaccination by its target date, then it shall become the first state in India to have achieved this landmark.

Hence, in a bid to quicken the vaccination process, the state has prioritised phase-wise immunisation, so that the maximum number of people can benefit with the least amount of disarray caused.

Citizens from THESE categories in 18-44 age group to be inoculated on priority in Goa

In a move to streamline the vaccination program in the state, the Goa government has announced that the vulnerable groups will be inoculated on priority. As a part of this scheme, the state administration declared certain categories of individuals in the 18-44 age interval, as priority groups for vaccination, on Wednesday. This includes lactating mothers, parents of a child under two years, differently-abled individuals, auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers, seafarers and citizens dealing with comorbidities.
