MMRDA finally launches the last I-girder of the Mumbai Metro Corridor 2A

MMRDA speeds up work on Mumbai Metro's red-7 & yellow 2-A lines

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has put the Metro project on a fast track for the completion of lines 2A and 7 within the next three-four months. As informed by the MMRDA on Tuesday, the number of teams working on the yellow and red metro corridors have also been increased, for faster execution of work. While officials refrained from quoting an exact deadline, the metro routes are likely to be operational by January'22.

Mumbai Metro services on lines 2A & 7 to commence in January 2022

The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has launched preparations to commence metro operations on lines 2A and 7 by January 2022. As per reports, the maiden trails on the said corridors on May 31 this year, aiming at an October 2021 deadline. Oscillation trials of Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 to commence on August 28

The Indian Railway's Research Design and Standard Organisation (RDSO) has released the date to start oscillation trials of the Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 on August 28. As per reports, the metro will shuttle on a 5.14-km stretch between Pendhar Station to Central Park Station. The drills will check the quality, stability of the metro cars to ensure safe operations during the commercial runs, which are set to initiate towards the end of this year, in December 2021.
