Swachh Survekshan 2022: LMC to work on fast track mode to make Lucknow a 'Garbage Free City'

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation has decided to undertake strict steps to progress its ranking in the Swachh Survekshan of 2022. As per reports, the civic body is aiming to bag the 'Garbage Free City 7 Star Certification' in the upcoming national cleanliness survey, to be held next year. The LMC has launched a slew of preparations, under the guidance of Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia, to achieve this goal and uphold prime standards of garbage disposal and civic cleanliness.

Sanitation workers honoured for their efforts that helped Indore retain the 'Cleanest City' tag

Celebrating yet another win by Indore in this year's Swachh Survekshan Awards, Indore Municipal Corpporation organised an event on Tuesday to honour and appreciate the efforts of the sanitation workers of the city. Notably, this historic win makes Indore a record winner of being the Cleanliest City in India for five consecutive years. Moreover, in this year's Swachh Amrit Mahotsav Indore managed to secure two additional accolades, that include SBM Water+ certified city and 'Five-Star garbage-free city'.

Swachh Survekshan Awards 2021: Indore to be crowned as the cleanliest city in India yet again!

Madhya Pradesh's Indore is all set to be crowned as the Cleanliest City in India for the fifth consecutive year at the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in New Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind will honour the winners of Swachh Survekshan 2021 at this event, tomorrow. Apart from this honour, Indore is also expected to receive awards in the Safaimitra Challenge and in the Five Star category.
