And we are back with a new list of cafes for you to check out in Lucknow. You said last time that you had enough places saved. The city disagreed. This round brings new roasters, new bakehouses and a handful of rooms designed so well that leaving feels like a waste of the interiors. Some have been open a few weeks, some a few days, and all of them already have a regular or two. Your saved list was complete, we brought a new one anyway.
Third Wave Coffee did not ease into Lucknow. It arrived with two more outlets at once. The Bengaluru-born chain serves its signature artisanal roasts across the city, and the mood changes with the seat you pick, a table loud enough for friends who haven't met in months, or a corner quiet enough to finish actual work. The coffee does the talking here.
When- 8 AM- 11 PM
Where- Le Press, Hazratganj & Experio Tower, Vibhuti Khand
Most cafes ask you to look at the coffee, Rhoa asks you to look at everything else first. The new Lucknow spot has built an ethereal world around romanticism, vintage art and a faint touch of royalty, the kind of corner that makes you lower your voice without being told. The premium coffee is there, and it holds its own. It just has competition from the frames, the walls and the light.
When- 11 AM- 11 PM
Where- 3/1, Vijay Khand (near Vivek Khand 3), Gomti Nagar
You'll say it's a quick coffee, that's the plan going in. Then Lumie shows up in Lucknow with croissants flaky enough to be a distraction, desserts that quietly rewrite the itinerary, and specialty coffee that makes lingering feel reasonable. The space looks good enough that leaving early starts to feel like a waste of the lighting. Forty minutes later you're still there, plate empty, cup refilled, explaining to no one that you only came for the coffee.
When- 9 AM- 12 AM
Where- 21, near CID Office, beside NBRI GUEST HOUSE, Gokhale Marg, Gokhale Vihar, Butler Colony
Mr. Brown's new vintage-European cafe, Danzeria, is fully vegetarian from the first pizza to the last pastry, and it plays it for effect, a live wood-fired oven, pastas flambéed at the table, candlelight, a jazz track somewhere in the background. Even the pastries are baked hourly, as if the oven has been told it's on stage. Nobody here is missing anything. The chandeliers are watching, just in case.
When- 8 AM- 11 PM
Where- Sapru Marg, Hazratganj
The cocktails at Cibo are the most serious thing in the room, and the dumplings are perfectly fine with that. This new refined dining restaurant and bar in Lucknow splits its attention between Pan-Asian plates like sushi, modern Indian with fusion twists, and Awadhi classics. The bar goes all in on crafted mixology and signature cocktails, with the care of people who've never once said "just a vodka soda."
When- 12 PM- 12 AM
Where- Le Press, 29, Naval Kishore Rd, Hazratganj
You came for a croissant, which is how most plans at The Loaf Club begin. The new Lucknow spot blends a café-style lobby with a residential library and a bakehouse that handles sourdough, daily specials and custom dessert platters, so a quick stop turns into a long table without anyone deciding it should. It's an upscale room for social gatherings, but it doesn't act like one. The pastries are delicate, the seating is easy, and the exit is, frankly, an afterthought.
When- 8 AM- 11 PM
Where- Park Inn by Radisson Lucknow Vikas Nagar, Sector 13, Sector 14, Vikas Nagar
You have a rule about mornings, nothing before nine. Brekka in Gomti Nagar has found the loophole. Its new coffee bar runs a limited early bird menu of signature drinks and fresh bakes, short enough to read in one glance and good enough to justify the alarm. The outdoor setup looks better in morning light, and the indoor seating is cosy for anyone still negotiating with the day.
When- 11 AM- 11 PM
Where- Kisan Bazaar, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar
