Uttar Pradesh has started scaling-up its systems and services proactively, to shoulder the next phase of inoculation. Meanwhile, established facilities of tracing and treatment are also being fortified in the state. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned authorities to maintain effective arrangements for treatment of Covid-19, ensure adequate availability of essential medicines, medical equipment and backup of oxygen in all Covid hospitals. A government spokesperson said "Keeping in mind the important contribution of testing, in breaking the chain of coronavirus infection, the testing work in the state should continue to be done in full capacity," he said.
