According to a circular issued by Goa University, online classes for all the affiliated colleges will commence online classes from September 1. The circular also reads that all education modules will be conducted online and a gradual transition to classroom teaching will take place, once the situation permits.
Over the last few weeks, the state has witnessed a spike in Covid-19 cases and currently has about 9,924 confirmed coronavirus cases and 3,194 active cases.

With respect to the COVID-19 pandemic, all educational institutes, schools, and colleges in the state of Goa have been shut down. However, the teaching program for state colleges will soon be launched online with effect of the notification issued by the Goa University registrar, Y.V. Reddy.
The circular directed to all the HODs of the university’s various departments and heads of all affiliated educational institutions read, “The University has decided that classes for the academic year 2020-21 will commence from September 1, 2020.”
