Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer since 2013, Mayank Gupta has recently set a new world record. This Indore man has found his place in the World Book of Records, London for holding the longest counselling by an individual. As per the record, Gupta conducted a two-day long session, from 4 pm on December 24 and lasted till 5 pm on December 25 in Indore, marking 25 consecutive counselling hours, claiming the feat!

Mayank applied and shared details with the World Book of Records for the longest counselling by an individual. He took 25 counselling sessions for 25 continuous hours. “The event was marketed individually to participants. Most participants were targeted via Hippo Corporation that I held training programmes in and word of mouth” added Mayank. He believes that this will inspire other counsellors to serve society.
The participants who attended the session described it to be one of a kind experience. About 50 professionals, students and couples attended the session with varying individual challenges. Mayank told Knocksense, “People from all walks of life, were counselled one on one during the session”. On day two, people from 11 districts joined the call.

Mayank has worked with over 30 corporates, with names such as Maruti Suzuki, Reliance Jio, Flipkart, Gilette, and Mitsubishi highlighting his career. In addition to that, he has also held motivational seminars and training workshops in 60 plus colleges including IITs and Indore’s DAVV.
Mayank Gupta clearly stated that counselling requires a novel approach, each time. Besides, the way to take on a corporate-level session is starkly different from individual instruction. Having worked as a Corporate Trainer, Mayank shared that challenges on the company level are on the macro level and that the needs of the individual take a backseat here.
The objectives are more company oriented and are focused on increasing the revenue and productivity for the clients. He helps individuals identify the challenges that they have to overcome to become an expert at what they do.
On the contrary, counselling individuals is all about building a connection, he added. Mayank continued to say that this helps them put their problems forward comfortably. To conduct this in a single event, in general, is a great achievement.
