Lockdown curbs to be relaxed in Jaipur & other Raj districts as case tally witnesses a dip

In view of the dipping infection tallies in Rajasthan, the state government has given out fresh guidelines for relaxing the ongoing curbs in the state. Under this program, the unlock interventions shall be initiated from June 2 across districts in the territory, that have a controlled count of active cases. As per reports, the relaxations shall be applicable in the regions with a positivity rate of less than 10% or the areas which have less than 60% occupancy of ICU beds and ventilators.

Intra-district traffic allowed in the state from 5 AM to 12 noon

According to the new order, all public offices will be allowed to function from 9:30 AM to 4 PM with the presence of 25% of the workforce till June 7. After that, the limitation on the physical presence of employees is expected to be increased to 50%. Simultaneously, private offices have been permitted to operate till 2 PM, with 25% staff on the campus.

Commuters will be allowed to undertake from one state district to another between 5 AM and 12 noon from Tuesday to Friday. After June 8, vehicular movements will be permitted across all areas of the state from 5 AM to 12 noon. Further, it is noteworthy that the weekend curfew curbs will be in place from Friday afternoon to 5 AM on Tuesday till the active caseload plummets to a count below 10,000. Meanwhile, 'Public discipline curfew' will be imposed for 17 hours from 12 noon to 5 AM on all weekdays.

In order to work out an efficient unlock plan, districts and village panchayats will be divided into 3 zones based on the current count of active cases. There are plans to revive state public transport systems from June 10 and the Rural Development Department is expected to issue orders for resuming works under MNREGA. Further, Reports state the shops on different floors of non-AC complexes will be opened on alternate days.

Additionally, district collectors will take cognisance of the situation and issue relevant directives thereof. 220 new infections and 1,503 recoveries were reported on Monday in Jaipur. Driven by repetitive falls, the active caseload has come down to 9,529 patients.
