Waiting for buses at bus stations will soon be a thing of the past in Lucknow. People in Lucknow will soon be able to track the live location of the newly inducted electric AC city buses. Under the ambit of Smart City Mission, the Directorate of Urban Transport has partnered with Chalo App to add this feature and offer convenience to the passengers. With the help of this feature, people will be able to know the location of the buses right from their homes. According to reports, the work to include this live tracking facility is being carried out in full swing. Expected to be completed within two months, this facility will act as a boon for daily commuters in the city.
Notably, the Chalo App is an Advance Passenger Information System (PIS) and mobile ticketing platform. With a live tracking system, this app informs you of the exact time when your bus is expected to reach your stop. The application has partnered with Lucknow City Transport Service Limited to offer live tracking of all the buses in Lucknow.
