As Mumbai gears up for Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for Bandra-Khar neighbourhood. This advisory aims not only to facilitate seamless movement of voters but also to minimise disruptions while transporting Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Selected roads in Bandra-Khar vicinity will be classified as “No Parking” zones for all sorts of vehicles ahead of the polling day on May 20. The said traffic regulation and control shall come into effect from May 19 (6 am) to May 21 (midnight), stated officials from Mumbai.
Notable NO PARKING routes include:
18th Road, Khar (W) from Dhurandhar Marg junction to S.S. Sahani School
17th Road, Khar (W) from Dhurandhar Marg junction to R.K. Mission Road
While efforts are made to minimise disruptions, commuters may experience delays and detours as a result of road closures. However, such measures are necessary to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and ensure that citizens can exercise their right to vote without hindrance.
