The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to build a 50-metre-tall viewing tower next to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL), offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and Mumbai’s skyline. The unique structure will double as part of the civic body’s ₹4,300-crore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) project, blending utility with tourism.

Due to security concerns near the BWSL, authorities mandated that the STP be built underground, leaving the surface for green spaces and public amenities. The membrane tank and other treatment units will remain hidden beneath the tower.
The project is expected to be completed by 2027, coinciding with the STP’s operational launch. Once open, the tower will provide Mumbaikars and tourists a new vantage point to admire the city’s coastline.
