In an incredible initiative, officials in Manpur town of Indore deployed drum-beating to motivate citizens for taking the COVID vaccine jab. As a part of this venture, the activity was performed outside the homes of individuals, who have not taken their immunity booster doses till now. Reportedly, this scheme has been executed with an objective to encourage non-vaccinated citizens by boosting their curiosity and spreading awareness amongst them.
Citizens counselled & encouraged to take their vaccine jabs
As per reports, an official informed that the drum-beating helped in getting citizens out of their homes. Once they stepped out of their houses, they were counselled to take part in the vaccination drive. Located on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway, Manpur is distanced from the Indore district headquarters by nearly 50 km.
While a large chunk of the town population is already vaccinated, some of the eligible citizens have shown reluctance towards taking the jab. Now, the inoculation coverage is expected to be enhanced with the implementation of this latest activity. Given the urgent need for an amplified rate of vaccination, such interventions are needed to make sure that the doses are received by the respective beneficiaries.
Over 1.5 lakh individuals infected by the virus in Indore till now!
Being the worst-hit district in Madhya Pradesh, Indore has witnessed the highest count of affected individuals, standing at 1,52,833. On Monday, 6 new cases were registered in Indore while the recoveries marked a spike of 18. Currently, the city has 112 active patients of the virus and 1,390 fatalities have been recorded so far.
