IndiGo airline is all set to begin daily direct flights between Indore to Jaipur and Nagpur, from the 16th of December, for the convenience of flyers. The airline is planning to run a single aircraft among these routes, which is going to make IndiGo the first commuter airline to connect Madhya Pradesh with Rajasthan and Maharashtra, post-lockdown.
IndiGo is currently operating 1000 flights daily
The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the domestic travel in the country starting from March, which pushed airlines like IndiGo and others, into a hiatus. However, IndiGo resumed its operations from the 25th of May, with issued SOPs in place. Earlier in December, the airline was said to be operating at 70% of its pre-covid capacity with 59 domestic routes and 6 international destinations (commercial and air bubble included). The airline is now currently operating 1000 flights daily, both domestic and international.
As per reports, the provisional schedule for the flights is slated to be:

Daily flights to boost business tourism in the 3 states
IndiGo’s initiative of launching daily flights on the Indore, Nagpur and Jaipur routes will open doors for business tourism in these cities. The convenience of hopping between these 3 states will also boost inter-state trade relations, which is much-needed given the ongoing pandemic scenario, affecting the citizens financially. But it is to be noted that flyers from Jaipur to Nagpur, will have to furnish a COVID-19 negative certificate at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, as per Maharashtra government’s recent norms.
