In an attempt to beautify the various localities and areas around them, Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage has started a Green Parkota scheme(Green Walled City Campaign). As per reports, saplings will be planted along Badi Chaupad, Chhoti Chaupad and the divider of the Chandpole Bazaar under this initiative. Reportedly, the municipal authorities have stated that the beautification project will enhance the aesthetics of the region, for both the tourists and locals.
Civic body to develop areas that have lost their green covers
As per reports, the dividers of Gangauri Market, Hawa Mahal Road, Ramganj Market, Ghatgate Market, Tripolia Market, Johri Market and Kishanpole Market also expect a green revamp with the plantation of ornamental trees. Besides the divider, the Landscape Scheme of the smart city project in the Kishanpole Market will also be developed under this initiative.
Reportedly, a horticulturist informed that those areas will be identified under this project, which lost their green cover due to different reasons. Notably, a number of big trees were cut during the construction of Jaipur Metro across Parkota, Badi Chaupad, Chhoti Chaupad and Chandpole Market. Now, fresh saplings will be planted there and the civic body has also converged its attention on the Parkota region.
JMC Heritage to distribute medicinal saplings across city households
The municipal officials have appealed to the city residents to ensure cooperation for the upcoming plans. Additionally, guards are also being deployed at certain spots to make sure that the plants are not removed.
In another important initiative, JMC Heritage will distribute medicinal plants across the city households. It has been reported that each home will be provided with eight saplings while councilors will get 50 to 250 saplings each. Once the slated plans are completed, the entire ecosystem of the city will receive a green boost.
