Ornamented with historic forts and majestic palaces amid the vast expanse of arid lands, the state of Rajasthan resonates with a unique appeal. While the territory woos a lot of tourists every year due to its distinctive beauty, it shall now be presented as a hub of monsoon and adventure tourism. With the materialisation of the latest plans, the hidden gems of Rajasthan’s enticing landscape shall be brought to the limelight, in an attempt to attract an increased count of travellers.
Soothing monsoon destinations like Udaipur & Banswara to be promoted
Through the past few decades, Rajasthan has evolved as gravitating centre for lovers of history and royalty. Welcoming tourists from across national and international boundaries, the state is known for its grand forts, enchanting palaces, bewildering stretches of sand and quintessential forests. Besides the usual allures, the state also encapsulates a string of locations, like Udaipur and Banswara, that turn into mesmerising tourist spots during the monsoons.
The officials from the Rajasthan Tourism Department informed that the cities of Udaipur and Banswara will now be staged as charming monsoon destinations. Notably, the town of Banswara consists of 100 islands encircling rivers, hills, islands and lovely landscapes. Similarly, Udaipur is claimed to be the Venice of the east due to its numerous lakes and appealing environs which usher magical moments during the monsoons.
Plans to highlight adventure activities in the state
Additionally, the adventure activities offered by the state will also be highlighted as a part of the new plans. “Most of the tourists visit Himachal and Uttarakhand to get that adrenaline rush. Not many are aware of adventure activities being run here. So next in focus is to promote adventure tourism,” the officials added.
Like all other places, tourism in Rajasthan has been hit hard by the effects of the ongoing pandemic. Now, the authorities are trying to boost the number of vistors, as the situation reverts to normalcy again.
