Sexual inclusivity and empowerment have been two very challenging concepts in our society but with the abolition of Section 377 and the enforcement of LGBTQ+ rights, it has been somewhat of an uphill journey! ‘Pride’ means a lot of things to different people- for some, it’s a time for celebrations and for others, a period of reflection. So the Queer Support Group in Lucknow has been hosting Queer Support Meetings and they’ve hosted 10+ such assemblies till date. The next meeting, led by Sayed Raza is being held tomorrow and if you wish to join, just follow these few steps.
A Safe Space for All in Lucknow; October 11, 4PM-5 PM
The meeting is slated to be held tomorrow, from 4PM – 5PM and while at it, covid protocols will have to be followed. The first phase of the meeting will be an introductory one and then, the folks present there, will go with the flow. Everyone, regardless of age, sexuality or their gender identity, can join in here without any worries and absolute privacy will be maintained.
This meeting will be a mode of support, which might probably encourage ‘closeted’ beings, who haven’t come to terms with their identity yet, to come forward with their struggles and story. This will also prompt conversations towards a better understanding of the entire concept. Any kind of media personnel will not be allowed in this anonymous meeting and it is definitely not open to public, for any sort of research purposes.
