LMC to soon begin beautification work on more than 12 major intersections in Lucknow!

Moving forward with its Smart City moves, Lucknow Municipal Corporation is now all set to improve the appearance of more than 12 major intersections in the city, soon. With the aim to offer a facelift to the city, this Smart City Plan includes cleaning up the vacant spaces, adding greenery to the area, improving lighting work along with the installation of fountains.

Reportedly, various places where no work has been taken up so far have been earmarked by the administration for this beautification project in Lucknow.

LMC to work in collaboration with Lucknow Traffic Police

According to officials, the survey work before the commencement of the actual work has already been completed across the city. Sector 25 intersection, Jankipuram, Husadiya, Gudamba, Krishna Nagar, Sikanderbagh, Nishatganj and Mahanagar intersection among others, are part of the list of places that will undergo this facelift work. With the help of Lucknow Traffic Police, the civic body along with Lucknow Smart City Ltd will also establish a No vehicle zone at these crossings as well.

LMC welcomes suggestions from the public

At the same time, the LMC will also start a plantation drive alongside the major roads in Lucknow. At the intersections where large space is not available, the officials will hang small pots to add a bit of greenery to the landscape. In addition to this, the administration will also take suggestions from the public to improve the appearance of the major intersections in the city.

While the administration will consider the suggestions, the transformation of major intersections in the city will majorly be based on earlier project works of LMC.
