Started in 2013 with 14 designers
Celebrating 10 years of creative exchange and artist collaboration, The Vintage Garden by Aarti Patkar is a sprawling garden for budding designers. Once every month, the market is set in the back of Aarti’s beautiful yellow Patkar Bungalow on Turner Road. With a retrospective detailing the mansion’s history, most of the creations are displayed on antique furniture which has been in her family for decades.
In conversation with Knocksense, Aarti Patkar said “I started Vintage Garden in 2013 with 14 designers. After visiting many exhibitions around, I knew exactly what I needed to make my customer’s shopping experience seamless”.
Aarti personally invites designers from Bombay and outside Bombay to display their products. Bringing together a remarkable collection of designer wear, artistic everyday objects and iconic monogram bags reworked by renowned artists and designers, The Vintage Garden’s exhibitions are a shoppers delight. It is also a great place to interact with like minded people, if you aspire to become an artificer soon.
