A brand new fleet of 75 AC electric buses inaugurated in Lucknow today!

Ending a long wait for the city folks, a brand new fleet of 75 electric AC buses today was inaugurated in Lucknow today. Launched at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar, these buses will be deployed across 10 different routes in the city. New micro plan to slash up to 30% land pollution in Lucknow

A new micro plan has been charted for Lucknow, in line with the concerns regarding the city's progressive pollution rise, each year. Reviewed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the new scheme is set to significantly reduce the city's pollution levels by 30%. Lucknow, Jaipur & Mumbai among cities with high NO₂ pollution levels: Greenpeace India study

Nitrogen dioxide is a dangerous pollutant that is released when coal-based fuel is burnt in motor vehicles, power generation and industrial processes. A report by Greenpeace India, a non-government organisation (NGO), has analysed NO₂ concentrations in eight of India's most populous cities. This report claims that between April 2020 and April 2021, nitrogen dioxide pollution has increased in Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata.

Pollution levels beyond 'permissible limits' in capitals like Lucknow & Mumbai, despite lockdown

An analysis released on Wednesday by Climate Trends, a Delhi-based climate communications initiative, showed that pollution in many regions remained above the permissible limits, despite the lockdown. This research included major capital cities and further, alarming PM concentration levels were noticed in Lucknow, Mumbai and Delhi.
The analysis was prepared by researchers who compared air quality data during the lockdown period in Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Kolkata, as stated by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Kanpur & Lucknow among the top 10 most polluted cities in the world, reveals IQAir survey

A recent assessment conducted by IQAir has brought alarming results for Kanpur and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. After evaluation on a range of parameters that included 80,000 data points, Kanpur and Lucknow are ranked 8th and 9th respectively, in the list of the world's most populated cities based on air quality index. Additionally, 9 out of the top 10 cities in the report are from India, indicating a dire need for pollution control measures throughout the country.
