Relaxed night curfew to stretch from 10 PM to 6 AM in Lucknow, Kanpur & other UP districts

In yet another relaxation of COVID norms, the state of Uttar Pradesh has eased the curfew hours here. As per reports, the prohibition has been shortened by an hour across Lucknow and all other districts and will now stretch from 10 PM to 6 AM. Earlier, curfew hours were marked from 9 PM to 6 AM.

Over 7 lakh people vaccinated in UP on Thursday!

Counting seven lakh vaccinations in a day, the country's most populous state stepped ahead in the group of the most inoculated territories too. With over 3.60 crore jabs administered till Thursday, Uttar Pradesh has left Maharashtra behind in terms of COVID vaccination tallies. As per the statistics, Uttar Pradesh takes a 10% share in the total number of doses administered across the country.

Cluster vaccination plan slated to begin on July 1 in Lucknow, deferred till further notice!

With an objective to propel the vaccination program in Lucknow, cluster vaccination drives were supposed to start from July 1. As per reports, the scheme has been postponed for now and the beneficiaries aged between 18 and 44 will be required to get online registrations and book their slots in order to procure the immunity booster jabs. Reportedly, the dearth of doses has the probable reason behind the deferral and it is expected that the plan will be implemented later.

Mega vaccination drives to be initiated across rural regions of Lucknow from July onwards

Accelerating the vaccination plan in the city, Lucknow district authorities will initiate mega inoculation drives across all regions of the city. Notably, parallel schemes have been implemented in the urban limits of the city too. As per reports, Mal, Malihabad and Mohanlalgaj development blocks are the first areas to be included in this project and it can be expected that the scope of the scheme will be augmented depending on its success.

UP daily vaccination tally breaks all records with over 7 lakh doses administered on Monday!

With the vaccination of over 7,16,146 individuals on Monday, the highest-ever count of daily beneficiaries was registered in Uttar Pradesh. While the drives were targeted at inoculating 6 lakh people, the number of recipients exceeded the goal by a humongous margin of over 1 lakh. Next to this record, another milestone was achieved in April with nearly 5.5 lakh people vaccinated on a single day. As of now, 2,62,49,887 jabs of Covaxin and Covishield have been given to the residents across the state.
