How to reach Amboli
If you are heading to Amboli from Goa, you may hire a taxi via Sawantwadi, while there are state transport buses from Kadamba Bus Terminus in Panjim that can ferry you to Sawantwadi, as well. From there on, travellers can hop onto regular buses and reach this captivating destination. A direct road trip from Goa via the Hathkhamba-Goa Road will take not more than 3 hours and a half.
The best time to visit this place is during winters, right after the temperature begins to dip. From late October, till the beginning of summer, the Amboli waterfall runs in full swell and the temperature is welcoming and pleasing too. While monsoons can be tricky and may be characterised by an overflowing waterfall, a trip in the summers can also be gratifying, if the sun’s not baking hot!
