In a bid to make trains originating from Indore cleaner, the railway authorities have planned the induction of at least one officer in trains to ensure that they are kept clean. Indore city is already the cleanest in the country and now, trains from here will be too. Read on to know more about the development.

As part of the new development, the goal is to have an officer to overlook maintenance and sanitation related work in trains. Trains originating from the Ratlam district are the ones that will be monitored.
On the whole, the officers on trains will ensure that trains are kept clean and fit for use by the public. To ensure this, there are 28 officers who will be stationed at different trains. Soon, we could see some of the cleanest trains originate from Indore.
The officials have already received a list of their duties and exactly what it is that they have to emphasize on. Apart from that, they have also been given incentives. If passengers praise the work and notice the well maintained, clean trains, the officer in charge of the train will get a few added bonuses.

The move to make trains cleaner and well maintained is directly aimed at travellers- frequent and occasional both. Currently, most of the trains are in a pathetic state, with several of the facilities not functioning as they should.
For travellers from the Ratlam district, this is going to be a major plus point that they would consider before looking at flight options. Even for first time visitors, it will help give a better impression of the city.
The move will also make travelling by trains a more lucrative option. The only reason that people opt for flights is that they have better facilities and are well maintained. Now that the trains will undergo major changes, a number of travellers could think about choosing the railways.
