Enhancing the public infrastructure of India’s cleanest city, the Indore railway station will be soon transformed into a world-class facility with advanced services. As per reports, the revamped station will have improved levels of cleanliness, in a bid to assure an airport-like environment. Besides, reports state that the officials are also deliberating upon setting up a new railway station, in view of the increasing population.
Indore-Dewas-Ujjain track to be doubled ensuring improved connectivity
As per reports, the new Rail Minister affirmed that all the long-standing plans must be rolled out soon. Reportedly, the officials have to be instructed to double the Indore-Dewas-Ujjain track while the gauge on the Indore-Mahu-Sanawad-Khandwa-Akola line will be altered. Further, reports state that the concerned officials discussed a host of things including the flyover bridge in Indore, the revival of stopped train services and the introduction of new trains.
Authorities to inspect the 205-km long Indore-Dahod line
Reportedly, the 205-kilometer railway line connecting Indore with Dahod in Gujarat has been under the construction phase for over 12 years now. In recent times, the interventions of this project were halted due to the pandemic lockdown. Amognst other problems that cropped up due to this delay, the cost of the scheme has multiplied over 5 times during the course of 12 years.
In view of the present lags, the authorities are trying to assess the situation so that streamlined plans can be worked out soon, to ensure hastened execution of the project. After the problems are analysed, it would be easier for the officials to chalk out a targeted plan of action.
