Over 74% of Goa's eligible population vaccinated with the 1st dose!

In a bid to arrest the possibilities of an upcoming third wave, the Goa administration had deployed extensive measures to fuel vaccination in the state. Driven by this, over 8 lakh individuals have been given the first dose of immunity booster vaccine, out of the territory's eligible population of 10.75 lakh citizens. Announcing this achievement on Thursday, the Chief Minister stressed the need for sound social behaviour, awareness and inoculation as the strongest weapons against the virus.

Goa's high literacy rate sets pace for an active vaccination drive in the state!

The state of Goa has been able to achieve a 43.8% coverage of the first dose vaccination here, clocking in a rapid rate of inoculation target achievement. Goa Government aims to achieve 100% first dose vaccination by July 30

Under the ambit of the COVID vaccination drive, the state of Goa is targeting to achieve 100% coverage of the first dose vaccine among the eligible population by July 30. The Chief Minister on Tuesday relayed this vision, informing that the government aims to administer at least the first jab to all adults, i.e., people over 18 years of age. So far, about 36.3% of the Goan population have received the primary dose.

Walk-in vaccination allowed in Goa for 18-44 age group from June 13

To foster rife immunisation against the COVID contagion in the state, the Goa government on Friday, undertook a resolution to launch Tika Utsav 3.0, from June 13 onwards. Additonally, holding the state's ultimate goal of achieving herd immunity in the near future, the authorities have now allowed walk-in registrations for the 18-44 age group. Further, the government is actively taking steps to ensure that the upcoming inoculation campaign covers 100% first dose inoculation for all citizens in the region.
