​Over 3,000 police personnel deployed in Jaipur to keep a check on security on New Year's Eve

In a bid to limit the threat of COVID spread due to New Year celebrations in Jaipur, the police force on duty throughout the night. As per reports, over 3,000 police guards will be stationed at checkpoints and barricades to prevent any untoward incidents or emergencies in Jaipur. Besides, the Additional Commissioner of Police has tasked all Station House Officers (SHOs) to ensure public movement is restricted by 12:30 AM. A strict night curfew will be followed afterwards.

6 PM to 6 AM curfew in Jaipur & all districts of Rajasthan to check 2nd COVID wave

Alerted by a perturbing hike in COVID numbers, the Rajasthan government has declared night curfew shall be imposed in all districts of the state from April 16 to 30. It has been stated that markets, offices and commercial areas will not be allowed to function during the time period of the curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM. In accordance with this, all aforesaid spaces will have to be closed by 5 PM ensuring that citizens reach home by 6.

COVID surge in Rajasthan: Night curfew in Jaipur & 8 other cities till April 30, from 8 PM to 6 AM

In a bid to break the chain of rapid coronavirus infection in Rajasthan, the state cabinet has imposed a night curfew in 9 districts here. As per the order, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Abu Road will observe a night curfew with immediate effect till April 30, from 8 PM to 6 AM. The order also stated that the night curfew in Udaipur will begin at 6 PM and will stretch till 6 AM, each day to check the rampant infection spread here.

Night curfew extends by 1 hour in Jaipur & 7 other Raj districts due to surge in COVID cases

In a coronavirus review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday, it was decided that the night curfew in Jaipur and 7 other state districts will be extended for 1 hour in view of the continuous spread of infection. As per government orders, markets listed in these 8 worst-hit districts will shut down by 9 PM, instead of the earlier 10 PM. With these altered timings, the night curfew will extend from 10 PM to 5 AM every day, until further notice.

Night Curfew imposed in Jaipur & 7 other districts of Rajasthan amid Covid-19 scare

Alarmed by the soaring COVID numbers in Rajasthan, the administrative authorities have issued directives for night curfew in Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sagwara, and Kushalgarh. As per the guidelines, the ban shall be functional in all these cities from 11 PM to 5 AM. Additionally, the officials have mandated all the markets within the city limits will have to be closed after 10 PM.
