The park was recently inaugurated by filmmaker and social activist Ashoke Pandit, with a large crowd of enthusiastic locals in attendance. Work on the project began back in September 2024, and it’s now ready for the public to use.
The transformation of a once neglected space!
The space earlier belonged to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and had become a dumping ground and hotspot for anti-social activities. However, this area has undergone a complete transformation. Now, it’s a safe space for pets to frolic and for owners to socialise.
The demand for a dedicated pet park had been growing for some time, and residents’ voices were finally heard. This pet-friendly spot is one of seven gardens along Juhu Beach, and it’s part of ongoing efforts to make the Mumbai’s green spaces more accessible.
