The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has refuted circulating rumours suggesting a suspension of flights on the Mumbai-Delhi route, calling the claim “fake”. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PIB’s fact-check unit confirmed that no services have been suspended on the Mumbai-Delhi airline corridor. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has not halted operations on this critical route.

Route segment closures due to operational reasons
However, AAI has temporarily closed 25 segments of Air Traffic Service (ATS) routes within the Delhi and Mumbai Flight Information Regions. These closures are due to operational reasons, not route suspension.
According to NOTAM G0555/25, replacing G0525/25, these segments will remain inaccessible from ground level to unlimited altitude until 23:59 UTC on May 14, 2025 (which is 05:29 IST on 15 May 2025).
