If you live in Kanpur, you know that a cute spot where you can chill with BAE and not have to worry about the bill is exceptionally difficult to find. We are all looking for someplace which is not bad to look at, neither so heavy on the pocket that it messes with our entire budget. Sometimes we feel that such a place seem to exist only as a figment of our imagination. Not anymore!
D-Cafe at Kanpur’s Mall Road is that one place we’ve all been looking for and we finally have a go-to for the next date!
The Vibe

D-Cafe is a pretty darn cute place. It is a French inspired cafe where you can easily spot huge windows, big blue doors, white furniture, an open and somewhat bohemian interior. Not only is the place pretty to look at, you’ll feel quite at ease here as well. We love the airiness, the open floor plan and the woodwork which adds a rustic quality to the whole affair.
For The Tastebuds

The food at D-Cafe is as lit as the place! They have a pretty uncomplicated menu and the dishes they do are classics done the right way. We absolutely adore the loaded nachos here, there aren’t many places in Kanpur which do the dish justice. We would also recommend trying the cheesy pastas, the crispy fries, the classic chicken shawarma pita roll, the dhuaan special chicken burger and the Agli-e Olio pasta.
They also have a number of shakes and smoothies and we would highly recommend pairing them with the food. Do try the ‘Throwback to mini chocolate eclairs’ to round off your meal or share a tub of ice-cream with your better half.
Knock Knock
D-Cafe is perfect for people who are looking for a cute date spot that is light on the pocket. It is also an amazing place to hangout with your entire circle or throw a low-key party because you wouldn’t have to worry about the bill too much. We recommend the place as a student hangout and a reasonable date-spot.
