The unit consist of women volunteers in the 25-40 age group, who will hold special classes for a week to train women to become self-sufficient. The 7-day training programme will also teach young girls about 'good touch - bad touch' and further about the various legal provisions in the favour of their security.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) reportedly stated that young women are often the target of sex or human trafficking rackets. The squad is also being prepared to offer counseling to the victims of such incidents if the need arises.
