IRCTC to launch state-of-the-art sleeping pod facility at Mumbai Central Railway Station soon!

Facilitating a smoother travel experience, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is likely to start its first sleeping pods facility at Mumbai Central Railway Station, before the end of this month. Passengers waiting to board their trains at the terminal will soon be able to do so while relaxing in the state-of-the-art sleeping pods, at an affordable rate. These next-gen pod hotels are similar to small and self-contained capsules where weary commuters can catch some rest. This service will be available for the travellers on an hourly basis, states the report.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has stepped into the foray of International and Domestic Cruise Business to tap on a new segment of the tourism industry. As per reports, the IRCTC is offering a host of curated cruise packages from Mumbai to various locations along the coastal stretch of South and West India.

A maiden move, these packages are set to attract the domestic market, including potential outbound passengers, and get them to sail away from the harbour. As per reports, pre-booking for October, November and December 2021, has already started on the IRCTC official tourism website.

For the first time ever, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched an exclusive 'Pilgrim Special' tour package from Agartala to Goa. The 'Vibrant Goa' package, priced as low as ₹1,000 per day, has been curated especially for the people of the northeastern Indian states. As per the reports, this tour would stretch over 11 nights and 12 days and will commence from September 30 to October 11.
