New unlock rules announced in Rajasthan; check out what's open & what's not

Rajasthan government on Wednesday initiated an unlock after a gap of almost 2 months. While several businesses and sectors have permission to operate, a lot of facilities and services still remain under the clasp of pandemic protocols. Read along to know in detail about what's open and what's not.

Which services are open?

All markets, shopping malls, monuments, gyms, sports complexes, park and restaurants are allowed to open with restrictions announced by the state government. Major tourist attractions in Jaipur opened their gates from Wednesday, including the Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Jaigarh and Nahargarh Fort.

Hotel operators are now allowed to provide service to their in-house guests. Means of Public transport such are city and mini buses, metro rails have also been unlocked.

What are the timings of 'unlocked' services?

All markets and commercial establishments which were allowed to open from Monday to Friday, will now be allowed to be open from Monday to Saturday. Fully-air conditioned shopping complexes have also been allowed to open from Monday to Saturday, between 6 AM and 4 PM.

The dine-in facility will be allowed from 9 AM to 4 PM, with 50% capacity. However, the home delivery facilities will be allowed until 10 PM. From Monday to Saturday, takeaway orders can be processed, from 6 AM to 4 PM.

Stadiums, gyms and yoga centres can operate from Monday to Saturday between 6 AM and 4 PM. City and minibusses will operate from 5 AM to 5 PM and even Metro rail has started operating from Wednesday.

What is closed?

Cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes will continue to remain closed. A strict public discipline curfew will be observed on all weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 5 PM to 5 AM. On similar lines, a weekend curfew will also be enforced from 5 PM on Saturday till 5 AM on Monday.

What are the precautionary guidelines?

Reportedly, the Jantar Mantar complex was sanitised completely in the morning ahead of the arrival of tourists. The light and sound show shall remain closed in all monuments, museums in wake of the night curfew. Tourists have to adhere to COVID appropriate protocol - masks and social distancing are compulsory.

How many people are permitted at offices?

All public and private offices across Rajasthan that have a workforce of fewer than 10 officials have been permitted to function at full potential. On the contrary, offices and work set-ups with more than 10 staffers will be allowed to operate with a 50% workforce.

Tourism spots, shopping complexes, malls, gyms & yoga centres unlock in Jaipur today!

After a long hiatus caused by the second wave of the pandemic, a string of relaxations is being implemented across Jaipur and other districts of Rajasthan. As per the new guidelines, tourism centres will be revived for visitors from today onwards and malls, shopping complexes, gyms and yoga centres are also permitted to operate. In addition to this, minibuses will run from today while citizens will be able to avail the Jaipur Metro facilities from tomorrow.

12 Jaipur trains return to tracks as pandemic threat charts a downward trajectory!

Amid the downward dip of the COVID graph in Rajasthan, the North Western Railways has decided to unlock the operations of 17 trains here, bolstering commute services that were otherwise limited till May 2021. Of these, about 12 trains will run from the state capital Jaipur, easing travel for many. With the revival of this fleet, around 60% of trains will ply from the desert state, read reports. By June 15, more trains will be added to the operational convoy.

Schools in Jaipur reopen for students of 9th-12th but for guidance only, no classes to be held!

After a 6 month lockdown, schools in Jaipur partially open as per the guidelines issued by the Rajasthan government, under the purview of the relaxations offered by Unlock 4. Students from class 9 to 12 are allowed to go back to schools in the city, starting today, i.e. September 21 for guidance only. Regular classes remain suspended in tandem with the directives of the Centre.
