Making road travel safer, especially at night, 5 students from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science in Indore have developed a sensor based anti-sleep alarm, to reduce road accidents in the country.
The design of the anti-sleep alarm is such that one side of the device is connected to the vehicle’s mechanism and the other is fitted into the goggles of the person driving the vehicle. If the driver closes their eyes for more than 5 seconds, the buzzer makes a sharp sound to alert them. However, if they still fail to wake up, the gadget will make the wheels of the vehicle stop gradually, directing the vehicle to safety.
Taking note of recent road accidents, students from Indore were motivated to come up with this highly useful invention.
