Lucknow Literature Festival is coming back with its sixth edition on November 16. Presented by The Lucknow Expressions Society, LLF 2018 focuses on celebrating the Indian diversity, heritage and culture with ‘One India’ as its theme for the year.

The festival will be adorned by the presence of many prominent personalities, authors, poets, journalists and activists including former member of paliament Kapil Sibal, Bollywood director Imtiyaz Ali, actor Kanwaljit Singh, and social activist Aruna Roy among many others.

The three-day long festival aims to celebrate literature and bring a focus towards the rich cultural heritage of the city and the country. Kapil Sibal’s new book Shades of Truth – A Journey Derailed would be launched with a discussion between Kapil Sibal and Jaideep Narain Murthy. Imtiyaz Ali will talk about his journey of becoming a director in A Director by Mistake, while other speakers will acquaint the residents with the intricacies and similarities of various cultures such as Punjabi, Bengali and Dakhini.

The LLF 2018 will be an epic event because for the first time the literary festival will be combined with a food festival, bringing together two of the most passionate people, foodies and bookworms. Lucknowites will get to taste delicacies from various places including some that are especially dished out by renowned Chef Pankaj Bhadouriya. Several exhibitions are also to be organized within the festival, one of which includes an exhibition on the partition of India where artefacts brought from the Jallianwala Bagh Museum in Amritsar will also be displayed.
Organised by Lucknow Expressions Society the festival aims to promote literary tourism and provide local authors, young writers and poets a platform to express themselves.
