In a bid to boost forest tourism in Madhya Pradesh, a night safari facility has been set up at Indore's Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary. According to reports, Tulsiram Silawat, MP's Minister of Water Resources, inaugurated the safari officially on Sunday at 10:30 PM.


Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary to become a centre of tourism

Officials from the Indore Development Authority, Forest Department, Cultural Ministry of the state, were a part of this commencement ceremony. Reportedly, the night safari facility at the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary will prove to be an attractive force for tourists and boost the state's tourism potential as well.

Home to more than 50 chitals, among other animals

This sanctuary is home to various wildlife species like leopards, vixens, swamp deer, nilgai and more than 50 chitals. Further, plans are underway to add more animals to the sanctuary. Consequently, a special team has been appointed in 8-10 districts near Indore, to rescue animals and nurse them back to health.


After a year of travel restrictions due to COVID, this initiative is expected to increase tourist footfalls in the state. The night safari option is now open for the general public and every visitor is expected to follow the prescribed COVID guidelines, when here.

Lowest tally of daily COVID cases recorded in Maharashtra in 17 months

Reportedly, a dozen districts across Maharashtra recorded zero cases of coronavirus infections.

Maharashtra has witnessed a dip in daily fresh cases in a long while, with 1,485 new instances reported on Monday. The state has managed to mark the lowest daily count and the total tally now stands at 65,93,182. Moreover, as per reports, about a dozen districts and a few municipal corporations across the state marked zero fresh cases on Monday.

Witnessing a sharp decline in the number of COVID cases in the state, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to call off the existing pandemic-mandated night curfew in all districts including Lucknow. In order to trap and tackle the spread of Coronavirus infection, a night curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM had been active for a long time now. As per reports, the relaxation order issued by the administration today, is effective immediately.

TBMs from Lucknow & Turkey will be used to construct 6 tunnels of the Kanpur Metro corridor.

Moving the Kanpur Metro construction at a fast pace, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has decided to focus on the underground tunnel work here. This move has come after the installation of the underground metro station about 21 meters below the ground, read reports. For this, Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) will be deployed in the city to ensure that the underground route stretches at the same level, throughout. Notably, this is the first time in Uttar Pradesh when 6 TBMs will be used simultaneously to complete the construction within the slated deadline.

UPSRTC to launch new inter-city Janrath Buses in Lucknow to cater to the festive season rush

The buses will connect Lucknow to 6 other cities including- Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Muzaffarpur, Dehradun, and Gorakhpur.

The Transport Department in Lucknow is going to run 125 air-conditioned buses on major routes in the city to ease travel during the festive season rush. Known as 'Janrath Buses', these buses will provide a cheaper travel alternative as compared to the high-end luxury Volvo and Scania buses.
