Christmas is finally here! The Carol singing and prayer services have begun at the Churches in Lucknow and the folks in the city are really excited to welcome the joyous festival.

1. Epiphany Church

This protestant church was constructed in the city in 1865 and has a mix of French and Gothic architecture.
2. All Saints Garrison Church

Located in the cantonment area, this 158 years old church was made for the British troops before independence. The architecture of the church expanded with time, because the needs of people needed to be met. This was the first church to be built for the Anglican Church.

3. Lalbagh Methodist Church

Located in front Dayanidhan Park and adjacent to Noor-Manzil Psychiatry Centre, is the Lalbagh Methodist Church, which by the way is separate from the Hindi Methodist Church, located just 500 metres away from the English one. Found in 1870, the events lined up at the English Methodist church are as follows:
December 25- Christmas service 10 am, Evening service 5:30 pm
December 31- watch night service 8 pm to 12 midnight
January 1- New Year service 10 am
4. St Joseph’s Cathedral Church

This most famous church in Lucknow, located in Hazratganj, was established in 1860 and is the oldest one too. More than 1 lakh people visit the Cathedral Church every year during Christmas. The events scheduled are as follows:
December 25- Holy mass (English)
December 27- Christmas tree for the parish youth from 10am to 1pm
December 31- Thanksgiving service 5pm
January 1- Holy mass (Hindi) 8am, English 5:30pm
