In a bold move to clean up Uttar Pradesh’s industrial zones, the UPSIDA has decided to deploy drone surveillance across 175 areas, including Kanpur. The “eyes in the sky” will monitor cleanliness, civil works, and solid waste management in real time. No more hiding trash in corners.
The decision came out of the 50th board meeting in Lucknow, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Alok Kumar. Along with drone monitoring, the board approved e-auction for 25% of industrial plots to ensure fair allotment. A third-party inspection agency (TPIA) will also keep quality checks on development work. For investors struggling with complaints, relief is coming, special camps will resolve issues within a month.
