Paving the way for luxury commute services across the state, the UPSRTC has launched a new and convenient luxury bus service on the Lucknow-Chandigarh route. Operating under the wing of Pawanhans Limited, these 41-seater AC buses aim to provide direct transfers between the two destinations to promote ease of travel, especially during the chilly winter season.

Passengers who travel frequently from Lucknow to Chandigarh, can now also opt for new AC Volvo buses. Starting off from Citizens in Lucknow can catch a bus daily from the Kaiserbagh Depot at 5:30 PM. The bus will route through Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, Haridwar, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt before reaching Chandigarh, the next day at 7 AM.
Meanwhile, the bus from Chandigarh will depart at 3:00 PM, covering a distance of 766 km in 13 to 14 hours to terminate at Lucknow Kaiserbagh station at 5:00 AM, the next day. The bus fare has been marked at a reasonable ₹2001 per passenger, informed the Assistant Regional Manager in a statement.
Besides direct commute, all basic passenger amenities have been modelled to relay a premium travel experience to the passengers, informed the ARM. This includes plush seats to ensure comfort to all travellers as well as stops at hygienic dhabas and hotels on the way to provide meals, water and refreshments to the passengers.
