The Lucknow Police, in collaboration with several organisations and pharma companies, have set up a pool of oxygen supplies in wake of the shortage of liquid medical oxygen across the state. This assistance, referred to as Corona Oxygen Bank, helps people battling the coronavirus infection.
Patients can take oxygen cylinders from officials and return them after use. These are then further rotated among those in need. The police have also asked the public to provide them with spare cylinder to increase the resources of this pool. With the law enforcement involved in the supply of oxygen cylinders, black marketing of this essential aid will also remain under check.
