Lucknow to enjoy a sunny week and clear skies after a long cold spell

IMD predicts a clear sky and bright sun for Lucknow next week

The intense cold wave that gripped the North India did not seem to be ending, while the cold winds, rains and cloudy skies made matters worse for most cities. Lucknow too had been reeling under the spell of cold, but thankfully, the days of cold mornings and colder nights are past us.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a week long spell of clear skies, sunny days and pleasant weather in the state capital. So bring out the sunscreens because the city is getting hotter as we speak!

What's the update?

IMD, the department for meteorological observations, weather forecasting and seismology has predicted sunny days and clear skies in store for the city. While the last week saw incidences of isolated 'cold spells' in the city, the next one promises to be a brighter and a warmer week for Lucknowites.

The city will experience a rise in the minimum as well as the maximum temperatures by 1-2 degrees, making the weather significantly more pleasant. The minimum temperature in the city is expected to rise from 8 degrees and settle at 10 degrees celsius, while the maximum temperature will increase from 23 to 25 degrees. The rise in temperature is expected to remain stable and pave way for warmer days.

So if you've been worried sick that the temperatures will once again fall and you'd have to be brave the winters, let us break it to you, the shiver-inducing winters are gone for good!

Knock Knock

With the temperature in the city on the rise, now is the perfect time to hit the city and enjoy a good old 'day out'. Pack yourself a picnic, head to the zoo, museum, residency, spend some time with your family or just upload that #sunkissed picture. You can even beeline to the live demonstrations of the Defence Expo that will be happening at the Gomti Riverfront.
