Annually flocked by devotees on Makar Sankranti, Jaipur's Galtaji is a pilgrim's paradise

Amongst the most precious gems of Jaipur's architectural brilliance is Galtaji, located on the periphery of the majestic city. At a distance of 10-km from Jaipur, Galtaji comprises of a string of temples and shrines dating back to prehistoric times. A natural spring appears at the most elevated area of the complex, which fills 7 holy kunds during its descent. Believed to be perennially filled with water, Galta Kund is the most revered of all and attracts a humongous count of worshippers on Makar Sankranti for an auspicious bath.
