Upcoming biodiversity park in Kanpur to preserve & protect the local Ganga Basin ecosystem!

With a vision to safeguard and conserve the biodiversity around the Ganga Basin, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed all the cities located near it to develop biodiversity parks spanning over 50 acres. In line with this, the Kanpur Development Authority has planned to convert its dream project of Botanical Garden into a biodiversity park scheme now. This decision has been made after a high-level committee summoned a meeting to discuss development programs for the city.

Models of vehicles manufactured in and before 2005, to be banned in Jaipur from January 1, 2021

ll commercial vehicles that are aged 15 years or older, i.e., all vehicles manufactured in the year 2005 and/or older will not be able to ply on Jaipur's roads, from next year. According to the orders issued by the Jaipur RTO, in compliance with the directives of the National Green Tribunal, these outdated vehicles will be sanctioned a NOC to drive the vehicles outside city limits or in smaller cities.

Sale & use of firecrackers banned in Lucknow & Kanpur!

Owing to the declining air quality all across the state, sale and use of firecrackers is now banned in Lucknow and 11 other districts in UP. These cities include- Kanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Varanasi, Meerut, Hapur, Moradabad, Greater Noida, Baghpat, Bulandshahr and NCR. The ban will be effective from the midnight of November 9 and will go on till the 30th of December. This decision comes after the state agreed to comply with the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal on Monday.

Goa to get a detox as guidelines for the disposal of cigarette & bidi butts are enroute

On Sunday, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to chalk out guidelines for the proper disposal of cigarette and bidi butts, within the next three months. The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) welcomed this move.
