4 new Omicron cases reported in Jaipur on Wednesday

Omicron threat has increased in Jaipur as new cases of this COVID variant have been detected in the city. A total of 4 cases were reported on Wednesday, which includes a tourist from Kenya and 3 Jaipur residents. According to the officials, the 27-year-old traveller from Kenya is currently undergoing treatment in Delhi. The 3 locals include a couple from Burmese colony and an individual from Pratap Nagar and are not related to each other.

The cause of concern here is the fact that these 3 people have no travel history, which only points towards the beginning of contact spread in the state. It was only when the three developed symptoms and reached the hospital for treatment, they were found to be COVID positive. Rajasthan's current Omicron tally stands at 22 cases, as of now.
