The oldest terminal (T1) at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, has now been demolished to facilitate the expansion of the new Terminal 3. Constructed in 1996, Terminal 1 was a key part of the airport’s infrastructure, featuring architectural elements reminiscent of the Charbagh railway station.
With Terminal 3 now being fully functional and catering to both domestic and international flights, plans are in place to further enhance its facilities. The expansion will introduce new lounges, escalators, and aerobridges on the airside, improving passenger access and overall experience. Once the expansion is completed, T3 at the CCSI Airport is expected to significantly increase its passenger handling capacity, accommodating up to 13 million travelers annually.
