As kids, the Zoo held a special place in our hearts as well as our minds. Not only was going to the Zoo a whole day of family fun, but it was also an experience that allowed us to learn something new every-time we visited the place. Complete with various species of flora as well as fauna- exotic and otherwise, the Zoo has many sights to behold.
Even as children, the winters were the best time to go to the Zoo. With a light wind in the air, and the sun beating down, there was nothing better than that experience. The best part used to be the short train rides within the Zoo itself, which took us around the vibrant lives that resided there. Even today, you can get a train ride, just at a higher price.
Years later, Lucknow Zoo still has the same old charm

With the winters upon us, we urge you to pay a visit to the Zoo. If you haven’t been here for many years, you’ll be surprised to see all the new animals, birds, fishes and flora species that have come up here.
If you keep your eyes peeled, you could come across a few zebras, giraffes, hippos, big cats, some rare reptilian species and a few breathtaking flowers and ferns. The museum here is famous all over Uttar Pradesh, so be sure to pay a visit here too.

The Zoo has vast open spaces for animals and humans to walk along and take in nature in all its forms. In these trying times of pollution and what not, this is basically all we need to take a break.
Apart from letting humans and animals coexist, the Zoo also offers some great informative tours and guides that can help you navigate your way through the biome. If you’re a solo traveller, just grab a set of headsets and a guide machine, and you’re off on your own adventure.
